There seem to have been a few kit forms, attached are some scans of a few bits I have to hand, hopefully they help Alistair
Absolutely splendid, exactly what I was after particularly the 1157, the number of which fell out of my memory store! Thank you all very much indeed, my cup runneth over. Max
Mepacrine is anti-malarial. Housewife is good for a laugh... I've heard the word, in this sense as a sewing kit, pronounced 'hussif/hussiv'. Is that standard or irregular?
A housewife was standard issue for all. Put at least was supposed to be. The contents were often irregular though.
I have to ask... in Tony56's link to a Recce January 1942 equipment return, what is a "Wavemaster, Class C, No1"? Apologies in advance for deflecting the thread a bit. Cheers, Pat
It actually says Wavemeter Class C No 1. Ancillary Equipment, Wavemeter Class C No 1, British Unfortunately there is no picture and I haven't a clue what it actually does. Tim Edit: Found it here: Wave Meter Class C No 1 Crystal Unit and Vibrator Power Supply Manual Circuit Download
