    Intriguing. The format of the 'IMG' code on that shot has now changed where you copy it from their site.

    No idea why.
    Theoretically, that could be looking at a scheme which drives links to their site but still allows embedding.
    Might not. 100% speculation.

    Not sure what it implies, but when I clicked on the top (named) link in Richs post, all went well. When I clicked on the lower(http) link it took me to a page of irritating adverts. I then exited that page. When I then clicked on the lower link a second time it took me straight to the Richs image.

    Note: I'm using an iPad and I have never had my own Photobucket account.

    Those links are protected in a code box - the second one will behave differently in that state.
    If it were put plainly on the forum, it would at least show the image here, but clicking would go to said spamfest.


    If you are able to download all your pics from PB and chuck 'em in a folder, they come with titles that can be easily matched to image posts with a bit of jiggery-pokery.

    Just needed something from the Heuschrecke thread.
    Deeply PB-ificated. Fixed, but this is quite a big mess.

    I'm guessing this thread is going to be impossible to restore fully,
    Some Photographs - Crashed Aircraft etc.


    My account was 100% full and after three days of trying I still haven't managed to download even half of it. I'm getting warnings that some albums can't be downloaded as a whole because they contain gif or video - which proves time after time to be totally bogus.

    I've started to reload missing RA headstones and some others, RCA, RAF. Is there an easy way I can go through other stuff I've posted?

    In a way, this exercise is actually helping me to improve my reading/writing since my Stroke. A way to channel my anger against Photobucket. I tried to logon to this site and my account is frozen until I pay up. :banghead:

    Ahhh this explains why I suddenly can't see images on other forums - SMH, pretty p*ss-poor effort by PB.

    The least they could have done was allow the current images to remain operational for 6 months, with warnings that they'd be blocked unless payment made.

    And not being able to access your account - ?? The mind boggles, you should at least have access to your images, but I bet they had it buried in the "extra-fine" print that they could block access to your own images and account whenever they want to.

    I think it is a correct assumption, that this is (most probably) the beginning of their end . . .

    The account blocks (magically 'over' your allowed limit. How does that work) seem to only be on completely full accounts.
    Unless... they just haven't got to me and my 21% yet...

    Some are being able to access such blocked accounts via private browsing, to at least try and rescue something.

    Wormhout, Name That Vehicle, etc. - Tatters.

    For reference, if you can't download your albums, hitting edit here at least makes the PB 'ransom' icon a clickable link that will serve up the picture's location.
    Probably won't help those that have been totally blocked, but another small help in fixing.

    I see Bodston's PB hotlinks are also working OK.
    Think there may be a threshold here where people below a certain total number or filesize are being allowed to link for now.


    Edit - Using that crude URL retrieval to fix Drew's Wormhout Massacre thread.
    Not going to be able to do this for everyone as it's taking a long time, but I believe the thread to be important and can't face explaining to Drew how to do it himself... I'm sure he'll understand.

    Edit 2 - Noticing that many of the grave images were off, even pre PB incident. Putting back as they were but Drew5233 will have to sort that out himself.

    Don't blame you, Charley.
    Drew's thread is taking forever, and I'll still definitely fix one or two of mine that I like, but most else will be patched when spotted and feel inclined.
