    Lifting the piece of cheese for bait would be dangerous to those suffering back problems as well I think - :rolleyes:

    I don't understand, isn't 'mice' the plural of 'moose' or is it for 'mouse' only? Crazy language you've got there!

    Singular or plural, the word remains simply Moose.

    One moose -> two moose.

    One goose -> two goose. Simple, no?

    As Moose is the Anglicisation of a Native American word , then if they had no plural word for it then so be it.

    I just returned from our annual Algonquin Park canoe trip and no moose were spotted. Singly or in groups. We did however see this friendly fellow on the drive home. He had just had a close shave with another car and was a little bewildered.

    Nice! Maybe. Better than dealing with a dead moose beside the house. In any case, I think we must have a government program to pay for a new gate.

    Uhoh, going to need an environmental impact study before the government can build anything.

    Cute looking little duffus, in any case. :)

    They do look an animal designed by a committee but when seen in the wild you begin to appreciate how well adapted they are to life in the northern bush. I have always been fascinated by the fact that they can sound like a freight train when moving through heavy cover and at other times emerge from dense cover like a ghost, without a sound.
    Moose is also far better tasting than venison, in my view. Although, after you shoot one, it is nothing but back breaking labour to quarter and remove them from the bush.

    We found a baby sanglier (marcassin ) in our chicken run last week - very cute and friendly. The poor little thing was probably an orphan, chasse killed its mother.
    I should have got a photo! A neighbour has taken it to rear, they become huge.
