"post war" Horsa

    those were in Gloustershire according to the article, but I do know that one glider at least, was used as a henhouse at Stokke Manor nr Gt Bedwyn Wilts, now long gone of course, that would have been 1950s.
    quite feasible as its only a couple miles from Ramsbury airfield [101st] and the vast ammo dump of Savernake forest.

    Any idea if this was a Horsa?

    Just looking at old photo of Thruxton , saw there were ''.... approximately 200 Horsa gliders in open storage,awaiting scrapping.''
    I wonder how many of those became chicken sheds .
