    Hi
I am researching a man from Darwen who was a POW in the Far East and I cannot find his POW Japanese Record Card on Findmypast. According to a family member he never talked about his war experiences as a POW . The only information we have is that on his way back from the Far East he spent time in hospital in Malta where he regained his strength. This must have been a "happy" time for him as the family would holiday each year on Malta.

I would like to know if Far East POWs did spend time in Malta and are there any relevant records.

    Regards

    Tony

What's his name? There are some excellent Members who have a lot of knowledge about Far East POWs.

The POW was John Holden. A common name in the Darwen area. We do not have any other information. We are trying to see if there is any mention of him in the local newspapers
