    Hi,

For many years these documents were only available at UK National Archives but about 3 years ago they struck a deal with Ancestry to digitise the questionnaires and put them online. There are some 80,000 questionnaires on the Ancestry site.

I hadn't been aware that all the records had been uploaded so I thought a private citizen happened to have my granddad's details on their family tree or something like that.

However I have now reached out to National Archives and I'm planning a visit there in the next few weeks.

Once again, I just wanted to say thank you very much for you help with this! My dad was delighted this evening to hear the new details you provided about his father

    Shaun.

I have some information about your grandfather's work camp in the Veneto, which he gives as number 120/XIV. This was near Cavarzere. Should I post it here or would you prefer it in a private message?
