    Hi

I have three POW tags for German POW camps. At the moment I don't know the name of the person that they were issued to. All three are for Stalags. The only way I can think of matching them up is for me to trawl through the POW book that was published some years ago and seeing if I can find a match. I do realise that some men don't have a POW number shown against them which could throw the system out for matching them up.
Before I do this I don't suppose anyone has done a reverse on the POW numbers so that I can trace the name from the number.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Arnhem

You can search on the number on Ancestry, it gives multiple hits but if you get a matching camp it works

If you put up the details you have some of us can look and see what we can find - maybe something, maybe nothing
