RAF SERVICE RECORDS - WW2 - MY GRANDFATHER SIDNEY SAWYER - BURMA

    Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher my Grandfathers RAF Service Records which arrived today. Also my Grandfather also had a letter sent to him in the War, which went to his commanding officer we were hoping it would be provided with these records today but was missing, does anyone know how I could obtain it.

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum.

    It appears that our RAF experts are “late risers” but I’m sure one will be along later today to answer your queries.:)

    You may want to look at Post 10 on the below topic as it explains the limited content of RAF service records. I doubt the letter you mention will have survived the post war culling of files.
