I have been researching a RAAF Flying Officer who was sent to the RAF Staff College in 1930 before spending another year with 33 Squadron RAF prior to returning to Australia. 33 Squadron were a bombing squadron at the time and were receiving the Hawker Hart. I have been reading around the history of Bomber Command lately and am aware of the importance that Trenchard and others placed on the role of strategic bombing during the lead up to the war. Would a young Flying Officer attending the Staff College at the time be taught the strategic bombing doctrine at the time? Scott
