England & Wales, Civil Registration Marriage Index, 1916-2005 Name: Francis Bickers Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1941 Registration district: Newark Inferred County: Nottinghamshire Spouse: Marion Wilby Volume Number: 7b Page Number: 1050 It is difficult to know if he slightly changed his first name, the registrar noted incorrectly or Ancestry have transposed it wrongly but it is worth noting for when you or others are searching for details that he may have a different forename TD
The RAF Overseas Deaths register - or in full - War Deaths (RAF -All Ranks) 1939 - 1948 gives his last unit as No.320 MU You can view the ORB for this unit at The National Archives but it's a less than even chance that there is any mention of the death cause. You can also apply online to the GRO at Liverpool for a copy of his death certificate using Bickers, Frank 1943, Vol 2, Page 76 This has a better than even chance of recording the actual cause of death and location.
