Does there exist in the NAL or in another place where I could get a copy of footage taken during the war? I am particularly interested in the Royal Canadian Engineers and the bridges they built etc. BTW: If anyone tells me to go to YouTube I will shot them (well, not really) because I've already seen the excellent footage put up by the War Amps and other finished footage on there. I am looking for unedited footage that I can use.
John With thanks to forum member Klambie, I can give you the contact info for a researcher based in Ottawa. He can find a needle in a haystack. Send me an email if you want to use his services. His rates are very reasonable.
Well Youtube is your only hope. The AP and Pathe channels both have raw Canadian footage that no longer exists in the archives. This for example is an Orne bridge in the Canadian area of operations.
