RIP... What a terrible shame too lose such a talented young man.

These dangerous flights are rather like mine lifting..... Sooner or later it has your number on it. I do hope that the Red Arrows will continue. And that we shall still produce these wonderful adventurous young men. We are all very proud of them.

Looks as if he was trying to find a suitable place to put the Hawk down and could not eject safely.I see that the Hawks have been grounded pending investigation clearance.

    A tragedy for all concerned.

Very sad event. I was hoping to see them last weekend at Eastbourne but plans got messed up and just caught them flying up the Cuckmere valley on the way to the show.

A sad loss for the RAF. Red 4's actions during the crash speaks volumes of the high standard of training and moral fibre amongst the pilots.

I hope this is not the end of the Red Arrows.

Detectives are investigating reports of "souvenir hunting" following a Red Arrows jet crash which killed the pilot.
Flt Lt Jon Egging, 33, from Rutland, died when his Hawk T1 aircraft crashed into a field in the village of Throop, near Bournemouth Airport, on 20 August.

The widow of the Red Arrows pilot killed when his plane crashed will join about 50,000 other runners to take part in the Great North Run later.
Dr Emma Egging said it will be tough and emotional to run in his memory but she has been "bowled over" by the support she has received.

Dr Egging said it meant an awful lot to her to be given a place in the run and to do it in her husband's memory. She will wear a number four as her husband flew "Red 4".

Dr Emma completed the Great North Run today, without her usual partner of her husband. Well done Emma on what must have been such an emotional day.
