REME units 1942 to 1944

I recently obtained my father's service records and am trying to find out where he served between transfer from RE to REME on 30 Oct 1942 until his posting to NW Europe on 14 Dec 1944.

He was on a welding course in Northants on posting to REME, until 11 Nov 42 and posted to 7 Holding Coy 18 Dec 42 (where was he in between?). 07 Jan 43 he was posted to 108 Coy and the next day to 6 Coy. On 10 Feb 43 he was posted to 207 Section, but this was cancelled. He then had an undated posting to HQ Static Wksps until 11 Dec 44, when he was shown as Draft RD Koy (as far as I can make out), and then to Europe.

I know he was in North Devon for a long period, so do any of the above units/ sub-units mean anything to anyone and make sense to boot?

Any help will be gratefully received.

    Regards to all and sundry.

    Steve Gray.

Hi Steve, Sorry I missed this post yesterday. Would it be possible for you to post up the service records please?

    Hi RosyRedd,

I will scan and post asap, tomorrow if time permits.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Steve.

    Hello again RosyRedd,

I have scanned three pages, which give all the relevant information. The rest are just discharge papers. I just hope I can attach them!

Steve - because you have the same scans of the service history on this thread:

    http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/royal-engineers/49226-re-training-1940-a.html

I'll post there if I find anything rather than here, so it keeps things together. :)

Although RosyRedd has moved his comments to the RE section, I would still be interested in any answers here if anyone knows about the REME units my father may have served with between late 1942 and late 1944.
