    The AWM ROH shows Cause of death: Accidental (Drowning)

    His pers file has been digitised and apparently he went missing at Dicky Beach, Caloundra, Queensland and the body was not recovered.

    He was on an organised swimming parade at the time, therefore on duty.


    His loss isn't mentioned in the Unit's war diary and no notices found in the newspapers of the day, beyond the official casualty lists (in December).
