    Op. Frankfurt

    Took off from Oakington at 2327 hours. Shot down by a night fighter (Hptm. Walter Ehle, II./NJG1) and crashed at 0345 hours at Tongerlo (Limburg) 5 km east south east of Bree, Belgium.

    During the course of 1943, RAF Bomber Command visited Frankfurt on 8 occasions. 1871 aircraft were dispatched with 1677 attacking the target (Transport and Industry) 2458 tons of HE along with 2754 tons of Incendiary were dropped. 85 aircraft were missing or lost.
