    FreeBMD says John C

    FreeBMD - Search

You can view the original birth entry, but I agree, it is not the clearest entry.

There is a reference in another tree though a private one, saying he died on 11 September 1944, but tree owner wont respond to my messages, and the parents names matches

Entry have found matches location and date. A lady who runs the private tree wont engage unfortunately, though her date of death she has is 18 months different but cant view basis behind it

Thanks Tricky Dicky. We have more details of the crash from the form 1180, ORBs and are meeting a couple old boys Monday morning whose father was working on the farm that day and hopefully can pinpoint the location. Main mystery is why Warburton has not registered any next of kin, so who was he and where was he from? Did he have family who had no idea what happened to him?

In the cases where the CWGC has no next of kin information it could be for one of many reasons.

Pro formas were sent out in the early 1950s to the last known address of the listed next of kin. In many cases the parents had passed away. Or moved.

I'm aware of one case where the wife, the nominated NOK, had remarried and wanted no more to do with her former husband's family and flat out refused to fill out the pro forma.

Today, that man is still listed with nothing on CWGC.
