    Son of Lieutenant-General Balfour Oliphant Hutchison, C.B., C.B.E., and Audrey Hutchison, of Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

    Killed during a disastrous battle of 10 Royal Hussars with elements of 21 Panzer Division outside Saunnu, the first engagement of its African campaign.
