    Details re the loss of HM Trawler Northern Princess..

    HMT NORTHERN PRINCESS (Lt D.B. Phillipson, RNR) was torpedoed and sunk by U-587 off the Grand Banks, Newfoundland on 8 Mar, 1942, The vessel was reported missing after she was seen for the last time at 20.43 hours on 7 March in 45°22N/55°59W. The commander, three officers and 34 ratings were lost.
