They had a limber but left it off for the demo.
Exiting the area, the Quad got stuck.

    Nice Pictures Owen.

The RAF blue Norton is a bit of a contradiction as RAF vehicles mostly weren't blue during the war years and this one has a wartime WD (Not RAF) census number. If the number C4389970 is correct for the frame number, it was indeed part of an Army contract.

Photo No. 15 by the way is actually a Fordson (a WOT6, I think) Probably quite a reliable 3-tonner. I've not heard of any particular problems anyway ;)

After a few hours geting plastered in mud & kids getting bit bored we pooped home to return for the air display that started about 16.00.
We didn't go back in but stayed out on the lane.
I imagined I was a Panzerpaust armed German with this one.
Black & white to give a period feel.

While the Spitfire was zooming overhead (that's the Merlin engine you can hear, not the Stuart's) these vehicles left the site.
Looks like a Norman lane in the bocage with a bit of imagination.

You can just hear me on this one, "Stand back."

Quiet tricky to keep a Spitfire in the frame but this is the best one.

After the Spit came a C-47 Skytrain/ DC-3 Dakota , dropped 8 paras in two drops.
First drop they were dressed as US Paras, second drop as British.
I just caught the first lot exiting the plane.
Then once they were all down the Dakota flew overhead.
