I have found someone listed in the FMP attestations for RA, with 1938, a full name and army number (1457202) and in the column for transfers etc it gives 'transfer to ACC 30/9/42'. I have not used this source before and wonder if any more can be gleaned from it, without having to spend 30 quid on a possible match. The man I am looking for was born in 1897 and so perhaps past his prime for full service as a gunner. Was the Catering Corps going in 1942? Thanks for any hints. Daggers
