Hi Found this site today, 'pologies if its already been noted, but thought it looked good as it seems to contain abstracts of war diaries. Royal Artillery Units Netherlands 1944-1945 - Introduction Regards Pete
Hi Pete You'll be pleased to know that it's the site of one of this Forum's members, Philip Reinders. Lot's of good stuff on there. Cheers - Rob
An excellent website and a nice section for me on propaganda leaflet barrages. (Never been able to track down a war diary for the 19 Leaflet Unit though).
Philips site is one of the top 3 Artillery sites on the net, a credit to him + his girlfriend who does the typing of the diaries i understand. Keep up the good work! Rob

Rob I wish I could get someone to do the typing for me! Yes, it's a great site and one of my favourites, not least because Philip has very kindly included a page advertising my book on RA Terminology. Keep up the good work Philip.
Dear Philip, On Tuesday, I was with a work colleague at the National Archives researching her grandfather who won the MM at Walcheren. That evening, my Uncle told me that my own Nan's Uncle had also won the MM during the war. I had not heard of this before, neither had my Dad and no information was known by my Uncle except his name. This morning I was browsing your website having followed the thread's link and thoroughly enjoyed it, entirely unrelated to my Nan's Uncle. However, this afternoon, I downloaded the relevant recommendation form for his MM. Coincidentally, he was Lance Bombardier William Markham whom you mention on your website under 11 Medium Regiment. Amazingly, I could have read that this morning and just passed over it without giving it any thought and now it is my own Great Great Uncle. I apologise for the narrative but it is quite a coincidence, especially also that like my colleague's grandfather he also won the MM at Walcheren. Do you have a copy of the recommendation. If not I'd happily e-mail you a copy or anyone else with an interest. Many thanks to all, Steve Garnett
Gald my site wa able to help you out, if you email a copy of the recommendation and I will place it on my site
Yes, many thanks Pete. First thing this morning I had a look at the website after reading your initial post. Then, this afternoon made my first effort at finding out about my Nan's Uncle and realising he was in the Artillery and won the MM on Walcheren went back to the website and there he was. To think before Tuesday evening I had no idea he had won an MM. Many thanks!
Well done Stephen + welcome. The 11th (Essex) Medium Regt RA was part of 9AGRA with dads Regt the 10th, here are some more links about them. Regards Rob BBC - WW2 People's War - Sad Memories: Holland, 1944 Body
Hi, I was looking for this website but it looks like it’s down now? My grandfather was a Gunner in the 65th Medium Regiment and served in Holland/Germany, hence my interest.
Use this one instead - Home - The Royal Artillery 1939-45 one of our members has just revamped his old one to this - and its good TD
I guess your next step if you havent already taken it is to obtain the War Diaries - Search results: 65 medium regiment royal artillery | The National Archives You will see above that there are 2 members Psywar and Drew 5233 who when the restrictions are lifted can obtain (for a small fee) copies of the WD's you may want TD
