    Just being picky, Ron, but the Kangaroos in Italy were M7 Priests with the 105mm Howitzer removed.

    Further digression since you're being picky. ;)
    Not so.
    The defrocked Priest conversions were a NWE innovation & used extensively in Totalise, conversions of that kind in Italy began in October '44.

    Apologies for that brief interjection.

    I grapped by copy of 5th Div History as I forgot they transfered to 78th Div in July '44.
    Now I have 78th Div History in front of me.



    Hope that helps. There is a map I'll post it tomorrow.
    Might be worth checking this book too, I haven't got it........yet.
