I have found a document written by my Uncle who has sadly now died, it was called a Journey of some Significance and I believe lists all the places he served when with the Royal Signals, starting at Ossett in Yorkshire. I was wondering if anybody could provide any information on the Royal Signals, or if anybody has any information on a Hubert Cyril Rollins

I don't know if anyone will know the answers to this but I am looking for information on my father in laws father. He doesn't know very much about him at all and he passed away in 1952. I was going to apply for his service record but believe we need a death certificate, which father in law doesn't have. My question is, can anyone take a an educated guess at which part of the royal signals he was in from the following info: His name was Thomas Maughan, Born: 4/4/1914 He enlisted on 13/6/1932. He was part of the educational corps until 1935 (at Shorncliffe). We have photos of him in India, Afghanistan and China pre WWII. We also know he was at Dunkirk in June 1940. There is a few bits of information regarding other things for instance 1) he won an army boxing welter weight championship and 2) he was at a parade in Huddersfield when a disturbed man pulled a gun and he left his place to go and speak to him. He was medically discharged in Reading on 13/6/1943. Any help would be most appreciated. My father in law has been ill and would like to find out about his father sooner rather than later.
