Royal Ulster Rifles Roster

Hello. I am very new here and love going through rosters and such... except when they are a pain to find. WW2 Rosters are so difficult to find or I have to pay for them. I in particular am trying to find a roster for the 2nd Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles roster. If anyone can help me that would be great. I usually use the rosters to learn about the men in them and create the exact unit in minitures.

Welcome aboard. An interesting quest you are on. Not my area, so hopefully others who are experts will chime in.

You have used the tag system (which only the opening post author can do) and when you hit that quite a lot of threads appear, some are clearly for 2nd battalion. It may need to check each one.

You may be able to identify threads for the 2nd Bn. if a different tag has been used e.g. 2nd / 2 / RUR.

Another method to identify threads here is to search using Google: "2nd RUR" or "2nd Royal Ulster Rifles" then site:ww2talk.com

Not quite sure what you are looking for but there is a lot of information about 2RUR during WW2 at

2nd Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles in WW2

including monthly Return of Officers within the War Diary section.....

Did you ever manage to find a roster/nominal roll for 2 RUR?

There is a Medal Roll for 2 RUR in Palestine 1936-39 on Ancestry at https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/1686/records/644334 but I can't find anything similar for the 1939-45 period.

I am in the process of trying to put together a roll of those involved with 2 RUR from a range of different sources but it is a slog and so happy to take any shortcuts!
