Patrick Kavanagh was my grandfather. He was married to Rose Kavanagh and had 5 daughters, one of whom is my mum. My mum’s uncle Jim came to visit our house in Wales while he was hom3 on a trip from America, not long before he passed away (he was in his nineties and he still sang all the old songs-a real character). I can only imagine that this is the Jim you are speaking writing about. My mum often retells stories of Andy and Jim and speaks of her aunt Julia. We must be related!
We certainly are! Sorry I only just saw this. I run a Facebook page for my Dad's family. James and Julia Sadly Dad died just a couple of years ago. We are related. Julia was my Grandmother. Please email me? carmel.kirby@aol.com
Alan, William Crossan was my mother-in-law's uncle. I am searching for information about him on her behalf. He was married to May Crossan and had two children, and the family is from Greenock. Please reply if you'd like to share any information. Regards, Leslie
