If you want me to copy those three files for you just drop me a PM with your postal name and address and I'll create an order for you. I should be able to do all three next week for you.

    Cheers

Based on his misspelling of lilley and storie, I feel it very we'll could be my grandfather.

I have had drew grab some items from the archive. Perhaps I will find more regarding him . I have also written to the sas assoc. awaiting response.

    Hi,

Not directly connected to your search but Malcolm Pleydell was previously MO 3rd Coldstream Guards.

Lt Robin Gurdon, OIC G (1?) Patrol LRDG (Previously 3rd CG) was KIA near Fuka about 10/11th July 1942 on return journey after dropping off SAS on this raid.

Recieved word back from SAS RA.

Sadly nothing to report about my grandfather. :(

They have said that I will probably not find anything regarding his SAS service from Kew as they have all that info and some that Kew does not posess.

I have read a few books which give you an idea of what they went through regarding training and various raids.

Wishing I had spoke to him more when he was around but not much I can do about that now.

    Hi Alex
something else - a comrade of your grandfather's was Henry Mullen, both came from the same unit - the Camerons and had joined the SAS on the same day.
