An acquaintance is trying to find out more about her Dad's service. All she has been told is that it was a secret, highly trained unit to be activated immediately should the Germans invade the south coast. I have suggested that she joins but has anyone any advice as to where to start her research beyond the wait for his service records? Thanks in advance
Hi CTNana - it sounds like her father may have been in the Auxiliary Units. Can I suggest you search www.staybehinds.com where we have an archive of most of the known names and their units (and it's very easily searchable). Alternatively feel free to PM me and I can search for you (just need name and the area where he lived and I'm sure if he was in the Aux Units we'll be able to find him). Cheers
