Forgive an oIdie for indulging in a little bragging but I thought that I would liven the site up a bit with this snap of Granddaughter No.2 getting her PHD for Bio-Engineering at Imperial College yesterday
Congratulations to you both! Ph.D. at a first rate institution like Imperial speaks for itself....and in a subject at the cutting edge of technology. Ron: if it's not too cheeky a question, what was the title of her Thesis? Steve
Steve Don't know, but I do know that her subject at Imperial College was Heterotopic Ossification Ron
Thank you Ron...you've met me so you'll know that I'm categorically not "lovely"...plus I still owe you lunch.. so there's that as well. I'm in awe of your granddaughter Naomi - just been reading about Heterotopic Ossification... and I might now have to re-read it again (and again) more slowly. best wishes
Congratulations to you both! Am struggling painfully through a mere Masters at the moment, so I have the greatest respect for anyone who can manage a doctorate. You must be very proud, and rightly so. Cheers, Pat.
Many thanks for all your comments. As someone who left school at the tender age of 13, I have always valued and been proud of my family's academic achievement and the montage of their graduations takes pride of place in my home. Two more pics for you and then I promise to stop Ron
