    Hi all

Can anyone direct me to where I might find out what ships were worked on in Selborne, Graving or Dry, Dock, in Simonstown, South Africa, during the period 1940 to 1941

    Regards

Dockyard records for Simonstown in the period in question will be held at Data Protection Cell (Navy), Victory View, Building 1/152, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, PO1 3PX

You will find information in the Admiralty War Diaries showing which ships docked for repairs at Simonstown. ADM 199/402 for Simonstown and West Africa covers 1941 but I cannot find one for 1940. Luckily this Diary has been transcribed and can be seen here: South Africa, Admiralty War Diary 1941
