    Hi Everyone,

I want to go and see a Sherman Firefly - anyone know where they reside in the Northwest?, do they come out and play?

    Kindest Regards.

    Came across this one today.

Caption said it is a 17 pdr AP embedded in Tiger I armor.

Looks about right. If the shot is 76mm, the plate is about 120mm.

That lump is constantly cited as 'Tiger armour'. Think it may even have made it into books as such.
Sure it isn't really. It's cut from a large piece of test plate and I think is on display at Bovington.
Possible I had more detail on what trial it came from... Equally possible not.
