Fold3 is having another free period, including World War II Records and online books, some of which have been mentioned earlier in this topic. This is because of "Memorial Day", a federal holiday in USA, the last Monday of May. Access to the records in the featured collections will be free until May 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET. I have noticed some editions in the series Official History of the Indian Armed Forces in the Second World War have been uploaded to the Internet Archive in the past few weeks, in a collection "Servants Of Knowledge". A quick look shows the exact title has not been catalogued for some editions and some volumes are still processing. Servants Of Knowledge : Free Texts : Free Download, Borrow and Streaming : Internet Archive Also ACL-CPL 00224 The Royal indian navy 1939-45 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive ACL-CPL 00224 The Royal Indian Navy 1939-45 Some of these may already be available online, but some may be new. I will be having a look in more detail, not sure when so I am posting now. Maureen

Hi All, I have now refined my wishlist on Frontier Force Rifles after some recent purchases from NMP. Just wondered if anyone has come across these or have a copy of the following: 1. The History of Coke’s Rifles by Col. W. H. C. Wylly, published by Gale & Polden. (1930) 2. History of the 2nd Royal Battalion, 13th Frontier Force Rifles 1849 -1931. Published by Groom and Son. (1933) 3. Regimental History of the 6th Royal Battalion (Scinde), 13th Frontier Force Rifles, 1843 - 1934 by Capt. D. M. Lindsay, Published by Gale and Polden. (1935) 4. Unofficial War History of the 2nd Battalion 13th Frontier Force Rifles by C. J. Weld, Publisher Unknown. (1946) (Covers the period from 1942 – 1946 in Burma and Sumatra). 5. Regimental History - The 13th Frontier Force Rifles by W.H.H. Young, printed by Frontier Exchange Press. Abbottabad. (1945) 6. Regimental History of the 6th Royal Battalion (Scinde), 13th Frontier Force Rifles, 1934 -1947 by Brig. N. L. St. P. Bunbury, published by Gale and Polden. (1951) 7. A Summarised History of the 13th Frontier Force Rifles during the Second World War, 1939-1946 by Lt Col. A. D. Fitzgerald, published privately. (1985) Many Thanks, Regards, Yasser.
Hi Yasser, The large reference library in my city has a copy of Bunbury's book (your #6) and I should be able to photograph at least some of it for you at some point. It is apparently only 116 pages.
Hi Chris, That is excellent news - music to my ears Is it possible that you can get the whole book scanned including the covers etc? If there is a cost involved, please let me know. That book is probably 'one of the hardest' to locate in my opinion. But eh, one step at a time -we'll get there. Regards, Y.
I am sure that the library would not let me scan it all at once. Taking photographs is easier as I would not, honestly, be under the watchful eye of a librarian. I don't know if I could get the whole book at once with photographs either but it would take fewer goes.
Not a problem. It depends on the library. Some allow scanning after paying a small fee. I take it they won't ‘lend out’ the book and hence its for ‘reference purposes’ only. See how it goes whenever you have the time. Many Thanks in advance, Regards, Yasser.
I don't think I was aware of this one. Colonel F. H. Willasey-Wilsey, A Brief Outline History of the 8th Gurkha Rifles (Quetta: 1945) 54pp, 10pp b/w photographs, 7" x 5". For sale online if you want to track it down, but too expensive for me.

If I may ask: 1) How much do you want for each of these, and 2) Which one is covering the Western Desert Campaign best? All the best Andreas
Funnily enough, I had a HB copy of Cooper listed at one point - I need to double check that I've still got that... There is a Khanna listed on Amazon.co.uk at the moment.
