Many moons ago I was a volunteer at the IWM Duxford and while I was looking for my Grandfathers military records I came across some of my old photos of my time there (mid 70's early 80's).
The first one is the Short Sunderland which I am sure has already been mention on these forums before was used for a time as a nightclub in France. To get it to Duxford by road the Sunderland had been quite roughly cut in half horizontally, you can still see the repair along her middle.
We were moving to the hanger opposite so some renovation work could be carried out on the building. img164.jpg
