My Nan dug this picture out for me at the weekend not sure if anyone is interested in seeing it but as it has not seen the light of day in many years i thought i would share it with some like-minded individuals. My Grandfather is on the right second row down.

    Super photo, thanks for posting.
Are any of the men named at all?

My Grandfathers' name is Earnest Arthur Turner, My Nan wasn't that sure of other names she mentioned a couple but seemed unsure, well she is 85, although she remembered going out with one other other guys in the picture before my grandfather!!!

    Cheers,

I love looking at these photographs. Having been a quite a few group photo's myself I know the trouble that is taken to get uniformity so I like to look to see if someone has made a deliberate gaff.

I was a Sergeant in one when me and a mate swapped rank slides and another year some of us wore our berets the opposite way (cap badge over right eye) and no one noticed until the picture was developed. The OC wasn't impressed with us !

It always makes me wonder if chaps did subtle changes on purpose back then too.

    Thanks again for sharing

The curse of all us researchers is the photos our fathers/grandfathers had taken never have the people named on them, and if like me the deatails are a bit hazy they look good but leave you frustrated.

All the same thanks for posting the picture its another piece of history shared amongst the forum, perhaps somebody will view it and come up with the answers you need
