Hi, I'm asking for a friend if any more info available on the above chap?
COKER, WILLIAM HENRY. Signalman. Service Number 11056346. Died 12/01/1944. Aged 40
18th Div. Sigs. Royal Corps of Signals
Son of William A. Coker and Frances Mary Coker; husband of Sigrid Karen Coker. of Merton Park. Surrey.
Buried at CHUNGKAI WAR CEMETERY. Plot 3. Row F. Grave 11.

Have the 1911 Census info, but not the street in Wandsworth.

Presumably captured at the Fall of Singapore.
CWGC Information infers that many Chungkai deaths were at the hospital, and no Concentration details but always hope that there is more details out there.

His wife, married 1927, 2 daughters, was a Sigrid Karen L Monsen-Elvik, can't find a Death as S Coker, so possibly remarried after 1944....

    Thanks in advance, Pals

Sigrid K. Coker married Charles A B Cook at Surrey North Eastern in the June 1952 Qtr. Charles Alfred B Cook, born 23 December 1895, was previously married to Alice M Leach at Lambeth in the March 1918 Qtr. He passed away in the June 1980 Qtr at Surrey South Eastern.

There's a Janice A Cook, mmn Coker, born Chatham in the June 1958 Qtr as well as a Melanie J Cook, mmn Coker, born Dartford in the June 1962 Qtr. I would probably rule them out as Sigrid Karen Cook was born 27 January 1904. She passed away in Surrey Mid Eastern in the December 1977 Qtr.
