Came across the rather interesting info in the book History of 79th Armoured Division Killed 39.599 Missing 18.000 Wounded 126.000 1400 War photographers took 68 million feet, 38 of them were killed 170.000 British POWs were liberated POW taken 700.000 and 2 elephants Mines laid 95.000 Enemy mines lifted 350.000 106 town liberated and 110 conquered 11.000 square miles have been liberated and 7000 square miles in Germany conquered 677 Bridges built 76 Airfields constructed 7.993.913 rounds of Artillery fired

Those MLRS reprints are good, but a little expensive. In most cases, with a bit of luck and perseverance, I have been able to get an original copy for the same, or in some cases, much less.
Monty gave a lecture at the Royal United Services Institute in late 1945, based very much on the 'Operations of 21 Army Group' publication. The lecture is published in the RUSI journal
