Hi to all, I'm looking for information about the following member of RAF 84 Squadron Sgt, Trevor Ingham-Brown (Southern Rhodesian), RAF Service No. 779013 and POW No. 31406. A Blenheim Pilot who was shot down near to El Cascia, in Libya (27/11/41). He was captured and first taken to POW camp PG85 located at Tuturano, in Italy. The next camp was Stalag VIII-B (camp 344), Lamsdorf. I think that he must had been in the Royal Air Force compound and as he was a sergeant, he would had been exempt from working for the Germans? Any information about Trevor's time in the camp or the RAF compound would be of great help. With Thanks Dendo
My father was also in Stalag VIIIB from 1940 - 1945 and took part in teh march from Lamsdorf Jan - March 1945. I have a 1939 Greman roadmap which details the route plus a list of places that the prisoners stopped or laid up during the march. Happy to send you a copy if you are interested. "bunnycatcolt at yahoo.co.uk" - new to this site - amazing information please can anyone supply me with the map of the march from Lamsdorf - my Dad told my Mum he gave chocolate across between trains to Jewish children, he witnessed a young lad allowed out to get a chicken being shot on his return by a guard - he worked in the salt mine and flew home in a Dakota that is pretty much all I know. He was in Stalag 7a and Stalag VIIIB 344 until the Death March and was hospitalised on his return to the UK I believe. Great site and thanks to all.

Hi here are some photo's of my fathers cousin 5384592 Pte William J Reynolds, he was captured at Dunkirk and as far as I know this is Stalag VIII/344, is there any way of finding out if he was on the forced marches?, and if anyone can name others on the photos, or info on the bands etc. It would be most helpful. Interesting to note we believe the scratched out figure is of a German Sentry, Thanks
