Thursday 17th April 1941 MEEKS, Frederick W, Stoker 2c, RNPS, LT/KX 106189, killed [GOODSHAW (ST. MARY AND ALL SAINTS) CHURCHYARD] From HMT Shova. naval-history note he was killed by bombing. So was he killed onboard the trawler or killed ashore? German air raids on Portsmouth on this date resulted in heavy naval losses ashore. Any ideas?

Thanks for that. Would support the theory that he as killed ashore during the air raid. The barracks were hard hit, CWGC lists 30 naval deaths associated with HMS Victory/HMS Victory II on this date.
