T/74645 William BANKS, Royal Army Service Corps: POW; Various questions about Service

thankyou for that I did actually know that because my grandads diary starts with him boarding that ship. It’s the period before boarding the ship I don’t know and I am attempting to piece together. He married my Nan on December 28th 1940 at Pimperne Church which is only a mile from Blandford camp I am assuming he met my Nan whilst being at this camp but can’t find any information on it. My dad was born November 1941 3 months after he left for North Africa so he didn’t meet my dad until after the war had finished and my dad would be 4 years old.
