Shell embedded in the glacis at 5:35?
I kind of like the blasé titles these get now, seems so common an event. But I'm always a little concerned that someone's set up storage & preservation for these old dears, otherwise they might as well stay in the mud.
Better that than the fate of that Stug which ended up wrapped in red tape & rusting.

    .

Good one. Very observant ! I noticed it when I watched it the first time but dismissed it as the headlight of a Tiger II. I forgot what I was looking at. :)

It sure disrupted the metal in an odd way.

so, how much would the T34 and Stug
be worth on the open collectors market?

T34 - you used to (10 years ago) be talking decent secondhand car sort of money, maybe £11k for quite a nice one, but then they climbed fairly suddenly to £25K and upwards. One in 08 for £40K, and the last wartime runner I saw with a price was at £75K - they now appear on the listings as 'Price on application' - Two on Milweb at the mo.

Stug - How long's a piece of string...
Wrecks from that recent Finnish Auction went at between £81-130K
    And I do mean wrecks.
From people I've chatted to who are associated; in anything near complete condition c.£½M seems to be a basic starting price for German gear, and that'd apparently likely be knackered. Not so easy to track prices though as it's more of a closed shop than other vehicles - the discretely wealthy dealing with others in the same league. Very much in the 'how much do you want it in your collection?' category, rather than any more prosaic market.

    Anyway...
The reason I popped on here, was Paul tweeted this pleasing Polish Valentine recovery:

Here are some photos that can be enlarged. Is this Estonia?

Amazing shape, considering the resting place.
I have a Russian friend who grew up in Estonia after her parents, moderate dissenters &mild dissidents, moved there inthe 1960's.
Estonia developed a 'unique Soviet culture'- more progressive among both Liberal Russians & Estonians.
