The following picture was taken at the Finnish Parola tank museum.

    Hello Morse,

Thanks for your reply. The char b had two guns and that whole series was much bigger. It looks very much like one of the Russian T-26 series which came in awfull lot of variations, but I would like to know for sure :D

    Regards,

    Marco

    Hi Marco,

The distinctive cupola, on many of the early French tanks, is the clue to which country made them. The rhomboid track path, a hall-mark of designs by Colonel Estienne, identifies it as being a Renault FT-17 Light Tank. Of interest, it was the first tank to have an all-round turret and although it was principally intended to be a mobile pillbox for infantry support, over 4,000 were built and she remained in service for some considerable time post WW I. Her armament: either a 37 mm gun or a Hotchkiss 8 mm machine-gun.

    Regards, Gerry
