    The old grizzly one has always had the highest admiration of the efforts of VIII Armoured Bde in the desert and in the NWE campaign - staffed as it was with lesser known units it compared very favourably with the best in the Armoured Corps but the 4th - 7th - 22nd - 23rd always had more headlines - just a glance at the casualties told of the actions in which they were involved as many as any other bde.
