I bought this in a second hand bookshop back in early 1980s for 50p. First published 1943. Anyone else seen it and how much is it worth today? Not that I'll part with it. If anyone is interested I'll post more pictures from it.

Prices have varied between a tenner to £30+ (depends on where it's being sold - ebay tends to generate greater prices for war-tme published HMSO's)
One here for £2.99. eBay.co.uk: THE BATTLE OF EGYPT (Official record) (item 8368639625 end time 25-Dec-06 12:53:56 GMT) or £6.50 eBay.co.uk: WW II - The Battle of Egypt - large format paperback (item 290054492731 end time 23-Dec-06 20:47:12 GMT) Still think my 50p in 1982/3[?] was good.
Aye, that's the problem with ebay. One day people go crazy and the next you can pick up a bargain. I've got quite a few HMSO booklets, but not that one. Must have some good pictures in it.
Owen, are there any pictures of motorcycles in Allied service ? If so, yes please, love to see it posted. (Or, indeed any "softskins" especially if there are markings visible that the censor didn't get to). Rich
Bought a fair few of those HMSO pubs, love the language in 'em, usually a couple of quid in proper 2nd hand bookshops, tend to give 'em to my dad. Some were done in Facsimile form a few years ago, got one on Alamein like that
