    You might have gotten away with it had you replied that you were cooking for over 200 people in quarantine. :D

    It'll save burying them, I suppose.

    I might start a run on meat thermometers to ensure the virus is properly cooked, though.

    A friend of mine pointed out that she hadn't seen any reports of a single airline stewardess coming down with it and they have to deal with the whole plane every day, not two or three people sitting around them on a single flight. Good point, I thought.

    Ok, back to urban game recipes. :)

    Checking the food stocks we've got a jar of anchovies that was labelled "eat before October 2017" which I would eat ( I make an Elizabeth David pizza recipe with a very rich dough that they are baked with but my wife says they've gone green so perhaps shouldn't.) On the plus side we've got Bicarbonate of Soda Best Before End September 2006 so the two should go well together. And loads of newspaper if we run out of bog roll. Reminds me of POWs in Changi who were thrilled if they found "blown" bully beef tins in a burnt-out go-down at Singapore Harbour to liven up the rice coated with lime ( not the fruit ) that they were fed on.

    John Travolta admitted to hospital with Corona virus symptons

    On Sunday morning, he started having a fever, headache and a cold so he decided to go to the hospital to have himself tested. After the test, he talked with the doctor who told him that he tested negative for Coronavirus - it was just Saturday Night Fever.

    The Doctor said dont worry you will be "Staying Alive"

    Well hand sanitizing applicators have appeared throughout my workplace from over the weekend. Only trouble is, there is no gel within!

    What next ? As they say in Ghostbusters;

    Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
    Spengler: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes…
    Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave.
    Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria.

    Used to have a Jack Russel and a Ginger tabby that shared a bed - inseparable. As for human sacrifice - well you just can't get the virgins these days

    Things are different round here. I ordered a small pack of toilet rolls to be delivered with the weekly Waitrose shop. They apologised that they had none but delivered a giant pack of luxury toilet rolls made from top grade paper containing mohair for the same price as that which I ordered.

    Every word true. Honest.
