Being attracted by the "Airborne" thread in the title I had a quick look to see what it was all about. I saw that the first name appearing was Tom Reynolds. Last year, at a function at the National Army Museum, I met the son of a veteran who was killed when HMS Abdiel was sunk in Taranto Harbour in 1943. Sadly he never knew his father and was trying to find out about him, but with very limited success. Chatting with Paul Pariso and TomTas the other week Tom's name came up as having served in the same unit as this person's father and also being on Abdiel. Lofty was able to provide Tom's contact details and this information was passed on. I heard last week that they had had a very emotional meeting as it transpires that Tom was this fellow's father's best mate and was able to tell him lots about their service together. Many thanks Lofty, Paul and Tom for the wonderful outcome John
