He did manage to play this one before leaving.

He did when I saw him, I think.

(I'm afraid I was very very drunk.)

Here's a few more that's getting a lot of airtime in Nola right about now.

You have to experience the feeling to really appreciate this one.

    Another good one here.

This is Cajun Mardi Gras here.

I have no idea what they're saying, but my mom does.

Not a Mardi Gras song, but when the Cajuns get to drinking (for example during Mardi Gras), this song is heard often.

More traditional Cajun Mardi Gras music.

I'll close it out with this one, the unofficial official song of Mardi Gras. It's the song selected by the Krewe of Rex, the King of the Krewes as their anthem. No, it's not exactly a rousing Mardi Gras'in beer chuggin' or foot stompin' tune, but it tends to grow on you.

With the Cheltenham races in full swing, thought this appropriate.

Here's a great song from the Liverpool based indie band Her's, who were tragically killed in a road accident a few days ago, along with their tour manager, while touring the States.

RIP Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading. .

Another Karolina Protsenko clip. It is like God decided to send some music down that day.
