Hi all, one face to look out for in TITG is VIC MASSINGHAM, KOSB, he pointed himself out to me, I believe in a scene in Kate Ter Horsts house sitting on the stairs, difficult to make a positive ID, but a name anyway, he was in it. Vic now resides in The Royal Hospital.

picture of VIC MASSINGHAM in Arnhem 2004, regards lofty.

I've got the DVD and it is a cherished possession, but it feels dated; probably because of its documentary style. Very brave lads all!

    Best,

    Steve.

Here is a Dutch docu about the "Making of" with Hugh Ashmore telling
    his story.
It starts with some images of the Battle. The soldiers earned 3 pound a day, the civilians who played in the film got nothing.LOL
They draw the Arnhem Bridge on a glassplate to film it cause the bridge was destroyed.

Just on the off-chance has anyone on here ever spoken to/been in contact with any of the 200 or so 1st Airborne Division vets who took part in the making of the film in 1945?

Be interested to hear from you via pm if so.......

Does anyone know if there is a nominal roll in existence for those who took part in Theirs is the Glory? Did the newly reformed 2nd Parachute Battalion from Ashwell camp take part?

Several of us have ask this question before Sussex, but as of yet no one seems to know.

I also have an original promotional photograph from the film that I pick up in Holland of a Paratrooper who I have been trying to put a name to for ages.

    Hi Guys
In the film there is a scene after Peter Holt gets out of his chute, when a jeep pulls up and an officer has a conversation with him and invites him to jump on board.
Has anyone any thoughts on who that might be? Is it Ian Toler. The moustache looks right, but I'm aware a lot of pilots had one in those days and Toler makes no mention of the film in his book
