Have been doing Medieval Total war which was fun , but has any one got in to the A very British civil war? set in the 1930s and scenario set around the abdication crisis , seems fun ?
Courtesy of a chap on WW2F: Lord knows if any good, but at £2.30/$3.00 worth a shot. http://goo.gl/xcvAYX 5 Days left. 'Men of War' Bundle.
Bargaintastic: Humble WB Games Bundle - Arkham Asylum - Arkham City - Scribblenauts - Fear 2 - Fear 3 - Lord Of The Rings (All keys work fine on UK Steam) Though this week, I are still mostly bin playin', Crusader Kings 2; because I'm some sort of masochist.
hehe, i guess some day i'll update to computer games but i still have a bunch of the old avalon hill board games.
X-Com, Enemy Unknown. Basically a shinier version of the original, and that was one of the best games ever, so I'm happy.
Suprisingly given my long years involved in computing and computers - I very VERY rarely play games. The original Fallout, a couple of those old hex-based American Civil War computer games, Combat Flight Simulator...and that's it - Apart from Caesar III, which I daren't go near; for some reason it grips me and I get instantly addicted for days!!! Even now it's sitting in its case looking at me out from among a pile of DVDs....the minx....
Killzone Shadowfall on my new PS4 that I got for Christmas. Love it. Can't wait for War Thunder to launch in North America. Don
Having bought a new PC and having to endure Windows 7, I can no longer play Civ III, and Silent Hunter III is FUBAR also. Thankfully, still enjoying WinSPWW2/SPMBT and Bombing the Reich.
Not a games player - the Windows 8.1 that came with my latest PC has not matched the words of doom - Wow - it is easy to hit the ground running. The 'start screen' with 'tiles' is superb with a second 'desktop' screen which is the Windows 7 style layout. To find this site on the desktop the usual find your browser and type in, with the start screen I can start typing anywhere on the screen and it takes me to the site (and several others with statistics etc) instantly. Fast for a small PC - HP - 8 ram and 1TB memory. Not going to use a touch screen. However, the three ladies in my life have been told that it stinks - best get that in before costly ideas form.
Have been playing Decision Games version of War in Europe, a Division level hex-based game for the last month or so. Had the old paper version that I played so much the Counters were losing their ink and were fading out (had to buy a new boxed set about a decade ago to replace lost/faded counters). Winter turns get a little tedious as you must execute all phases (even if nothing is actually going on) but a good game for trying out what-ifs and since I now have the PC version I don't need a spare room to lay out 8 two foot by three foot maps and a half dozen build charts and CRT tables!
Wargame. Somebody has invented the perfect game for me. Though they should maybe be told that Sheridans were very unlikely to be the all conquering solution to every battlefield problem they appear to be here...
Some 15 years ago I had my own obsession with MS Combat Flight Simulator. Most fun I've ever had with my clothes on. Four-five hours would pass like 20 minutes. When I went to the game zone with folks from around the globe it was pure heroin. I finally had to uninstall it and hand the game to my wife with instructions never to give it back. Having a life, career, wife and children were simply incompatible with gaming. I even had to box up the joystick and rudders. Too tempting. Maybe some day.............
Tim this happened to me but with Football Manager up till 3-4 in the morning, I had to give the kids the game to hide it
