I never fail to be amazed at what you can find by GOOGLING................. Just found this piece of info and I am immediately taken back 70 odd years ! http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/ref/TM/pdfs/TM9-759.pdf Ron
Page 50 has the 31 steps necessary for engine removal and then part b. "Installation. Reverse the sequence of removal operations." Simple.
Rich Re the Norton manual, I must have had a copy available but can't remember reading it What I do remember however is a gaffe I made in my early days as Tech Corporal when I was still very green in reading spare parts manuals. The REME Sgt attached to "A" Sqn 4th QOH had asked me to order 2 sets of Bogie bearings and I evidently miss-read read the part number. in the manual. The consequence was that one day a lorry turned up in Monfalcone with 2 complete Bogies !. I was too embarrassed to admit my mistake, took delivery and re-ordered the correct parts. For ever after the Bogies were humped around italy as a constant reminder to me to check my requisition orders before I sent them ! Ron
