    Hi,

I came across this photo in the gallery yesterday posted by forum member Keith Lockwood.

Tom Birkett - named in the photo - was a contemporary of my father in 3rd CG in Egypt & Palestine 1938/39. They were born in neighbouring towns in West Cumberland and joined up 3 months apart.

My father often spoke of him and I hear his name mentioned regularly on BBC when CG Troop The Colour as he wrote several pieces of flute/drum music used on the parade.

Nice to put a face to the name after all these years.
