    Hello all,

My grandfather served in the 940th Inland Water Transport Operating Company and landed at Sword Beach - he then remained at Sword until its closure.

I recently stumbled upon some information outlining how much equipment tonnage was unloaded by Seabees at Utah and Omaha Beach via Rhino Ferries etc.

    http://seabeemagazine.navylive.dodlive.mil/2013/06/17/battalions-d-day-role-revealed/

I was wondering if the same information exists for Sword Beach post D Day.

    Can anyone please assist?

    Many Thanks

    Chris Geal.
